John is a lifelong horror fan and an avid reader. After Highschool, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served 4 years active duty as a Mortarman in the infantry. In 2011, he left Hawaii and returned home to Rhode Island where he took up writing. After almost a decade of writing, stories began picking up traction with publishers and readers.
He writes all subgenres of horror, but has become known for his gritty, realistic horror with military flare, and for violent, splatterpunk horror.
In 2022, he released his debut novel, The Warrior Retreat. It received praise for successfully shining a light on the horrors our military members face overseas, and the horrors that remain with them upon returning home, while also wrapping those themes around a violent slasher concept. The following year, The Warrior Retreat was nominated for best horror novel for both the Imadjinn awards, and the Godless 666 awards.
